Over the weekend, My friend Jen and I flew to San Diego to see a concert. The concert was on Sunday night, so we decided to fly out Friday and make a weekend out of it.
When our flight landed, we had just enough time to get our rental car and head to Petco Park to see the San Diego Padres play the LA Dodgers. It was my first Major League baseball game, and I had fun! I had no idea they really sang, "Take Me Out To The Ball Game!"
On Saturday we drove up to Venice Beach to get lunch at a place called C & O's. It's a little Italian place right on the beach and it is amazing! Totally worth the hour and a half drive.
After lunch, we decided to head back down south, to Huntington Beach, and do a little shopping.
When we left Hungtington Beach, we decided to go to a place where Jen's friend worked, called The Alamo, to get some dinner. Instead of taking the freeway, we decided to drive along the coast. We passed the beach in Carlsbad, which is just north of San Diego, just as the sun was about to set. We decided to ge tout and take some pictures. It was crazy pretty!
The Alamo is a little Mexican restaurant in a part of town called "Old Town San Diego." They even have a little candy shop that sells old school candy by the pound! I did quite a bit of damage :)
On Sunday before the concert, we drove to Mission Beach to get some lunch. Of course, we stopped for somephoto ops along the way :) We ate at a place called The Wavehouse, which is right on the beach.
Finally, it was time for us to go to the show. We were seeing Fall Out Boy at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. Twenty One Pilots, and Panic! At The Disco were the bands that opened up for them.
Our flight home didn't leave until four o'clock Monday afternoon, so we decided to go to the Oceanside pier to kill some time.
All in all, it was great weekend! But I'm so glad to be home with my family :)
