Last Day of First Grade!

Today is my baby's last day of first grade! I can't believe this day is already here! I snapped a quick picture of her before she went into class this morning. I just love her!

Coldplay CD Release Show, Royce Hall, UCLA- May 19, 2014

Ryan's brother, Chad, was able to get us tickets to see Coldplay at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles. I wasn't even really even a fan of Coldplay, but I knew it would be a once in a lifetime experience, as the venue holds maybe 1000 people, tops. So, off to California we went! Our seats were RIDICULOUS, they were 2 rows away from the stage. Let's just say, they turned me and I left a fan! They sure put on an amazing show.

             


              

California Dreamin'

Ryan recently decided to take a job offer working for his brother's company, and needed to go out there for a few days to sign paperwork, etc.. So we decided to take a little family vacation out to California!While the guys were at work, and the older kids, Elle and Wil, were at school, we had lots of time to hang out with Hillary and Finn!

             

                                 

One day, we even got to go to LegoLand and hang out for a couple hours! Neither of us had been there before, so we were pretty excited.

Since it is so close to the end of school for Jaylinne, we had to fly home early so she could do her testing. She got her first airplane ride! 

Kentucky Derby

Our friend Brad's birthday is right around the time of the Kentucky Derby. This year, a distillery up in Park City called High West put on a Kentucky Derby themed party, and Brad decided to have his birthday there. I had never been in to the KD, or really even knew much about it, but we figured...what the hell!  Little did I know, it was quite the production. I found out 2 days before that I needed a big, ridiculous hat. Challenge: accepted! I found a hat and just started gluing things to it :) Turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself, for a first timer! The bad news? I didn't win the best hat competition. The good news? I have about 360 days to construct my hat for next year...

Fieldtrip At The Zoo

Jaylinne's class, as well as all the other first grade classes, got to go on a fieldtrip to the zoo today! I went as a volunteer, and had a blast with my group of littles :) It was a little cool outside, but it was perfect because the animals were out!
