This is Jaylinne's second season playing soccer. Last season, she was more concerned with holding hands with her friend Savannah and whirling around doing princess spins than actually trying to play. Well, this year, she got moved up to a different team, and also a different coach. Now she is the youngest one on the team, and also the most inexperienced. At the beginning of the season, we knew it was either going to make her or break her. We were hoping it would give her a better understanding of the rules, etc.. Also, she always tried to "keep up" with everyone, so we knew she had her work cut out for her with the other girls on her team.
Thus far, it seems as though she is loving it! She has also been making some great improvements to the way she plays. She happened to get her first 2 goals tonight! I don't have pictures of the actual goals, but here she is after she scored them. She looks so excited! She watches a lot of MLS games with mom and dad, so she sees a lot of goal celebrations. Lately, when the other girls have been scoring, she has been doing somersaults! I was halfway terrified she was going to bust out a few somersaults! No one wants to have the "Robbie Keane" of the team ;) She just jumped up and down and let out a few yells- it just might have been the cutest thing I have ever seen <3
